39TH ANNUAL COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY AWARDS PROGRAM

The Annual Productivity and Quality Awards (PQA) Program honors departmental productivity and quality improvement efforts deserving recognition.  Ninety-five entries representing $425 million dollars in cost savings, revenue, cost avoidance, and improved services to the community were submitted for awards consideration.  Congratulations to all 95 project teams!  Click here for a list of all 95 projects.

The Top Ten and Commission Special winners were recognized at this year’s Awards Luncheon at The Music Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.  The 2026 Top Ten winners represent the County’s commitment to serve people and solve problems.  Among the 95 projects from 35 participating departments, four projects were awarded top honors as Gold, Silver, and Bronze Eagle recipients. The Gold Eagle was awarded to Care Camp Trauma-Informed Fire Relief, a project that transformed Los Angeles County parks and gardens into safe, healing spaces for children and families affected by the Eaton Fire. The Silver Eagle was presented to Improving Community Health, One Knock at a Time, a project that brought coordinated health and social services directly to residents in Los Angeles County communities facing persistent barriers to care. The Bronze Eagle was awarded in a tie - for the first time in the ceremony's history - to two projects: LA-DROP (Prehospital Blood Transfusion Pilot), which established Los Angeles’ first prehospital blood transfusion pilot program and provided life-saving blood transfusions to patients before they reached the hospital, and to Building the Business Interruption Fund Model, which created the County’s first model to rapidly support small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs facing economic disruptions.  Click here for a list of the Top Ten winners.
